I just got back last night after seeing my family in Italy for a few days, here are a few pictures I took whilst I was there. I went to Scafati, which is a town in the Campania region in Southern Italy.
Prior to booking to go I was supposed to go for over a week; but having needed to get my passport renewed total mess up etc etc and ending up flying on my own, I went for 4 days. Which was a shame as I don't see my family there regularly, but it was enjoyable finally getting there.
On the first day I went to Vietri or 'Vietri Sul Mare', known for the pottery, vases etc that are used around the Amalfi Coast (pictured above). Also ending up buying lots of pottery and subsequently having to buy another bag to go home with haha...
Next we went to the Amalfi. We got a train to Salerno, and then got a 40 minute boat there. Scorching hot also with it being temperatures around 40 degrees celsius. It was a lovely day although, as me being myself hating the sun the weather didn't really affect my tan..
On Sunday I went to Monte Terminio, which is a lovely place to go with your family, it isn't very touristic mainly Italian families going for a Sunday barbecue. It has beautiful views, and you can go horse riding on the mountains. I found there was also a beautiful range of butterflies, which I tried to take pictures of but also that was very hard haha.
And on the last day I went to Pompeii, I didn't take many pictures (only on my phone) so hence there being no photos.
I had a lovely holiday but I'm glad I'm home as I find going abroad makes me miss everything in England.
(I used for taking the photos Lumix G2, or Canon EOS 650D)
How was your weekend?
